Chocolot was formed in 2008 with the idea that chocolates can look absolutely incredible and taste even better. We firmly believe in the fusion of tradition and innovation in our products. Ruth Kendrick, our founder and chief chocolatier, is an expert-level graduate from the Montreal Chocolate Academy, and has been making chocolates for fifty years. We use premium ingredients with no preservatives or artificial flavors, and each chocolate and batch of toffee is handmade by Ruth. Our philosophy is that our chocolates and toffee must be the best tasting, freshest, and most visually exciting confections available. We are passionate about our confections and hope you enjoy them as well.

Our Story

Chocolot is a new company, but we draw upon over fifty years of expert knowledge of our founder and chief chocolatier, Ruth Kendrick. Ruth grew up in the kitchen, learning chocolatiering from her mother, Pauline Atkinson. Ruth and Pauline co-wrote the book Candymaking, which has sold over 500,000 copies worldwide. Ruth received an expert-level certificate from the Montreal Chocolate Academy in 2008. Her chocolates won numerous awards in last year’s Utah Chocolate Show, and her toffee also won best of show. Ruth has given candy-making classes throughout the world. Each of our confections is handmade by Ruth. Each chocolate looks like a piece of art, and they taste even better than they look. We specialize in using all-natural ingredients and sourcing our ingredients from only the best sources. We only use premium couverture chocolate in our confections.
